Happy Birthday, Becca Boo!

So today is the big one-oh.  Yup.  Double digits.  A whole decade.  And as her mom, all I have to say about it is "Phooey!"  Okay, okay, I'm having a little selfish moment.  Like most moms, I'm having one of those moments where I wish I could bottle time and keep my baby little forever.  I know that it is silly, and, yes, I do enjoy seeing her turning into a beautiful young woman, but you know what I mean.  I'm dreading the days when she may not be so fond of her mom (the alien years), but she swears she'll never be like that.  Can I get that in writing please?  and notorized?

Becca has been with me for almost as long as Ryan has, and probably longer, if you count hours spent together.  She is my sunshine, and her daddy's, too.  I wish I had older pics of her on my computer, but we only went digital a few years ago, so I can't post any others till I find time to scan some in.  I have so many pics of Becca and her dad playing together, since the day she was born!  Bestest pals. :)

She's about to lose her spot as the only child, only niece, only grandchild, and only great-grandchild on my side and my mom's side of the family.  But I hope she knows that she's already got a ten-year head start on her baby sister and is well into all of our hearts forever.  

Becca Boo, you make us laugh, and our hearts just ache with love for you.  Our lives would not be the same without you.  We are so proud of the good kid that you are and the things that you learn - and teach - every day.  Love you most, infinity.
